Your Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 01: Gangtok Stand – Lachung
After breakfast, From Gangtok, after 66kms drive you will reach the small township if Mangan, and then Chungthang which is only 22kms before Lachung and is the nearest town. Along the way the river Teesta will be by your side and you can see a number of waterfalls and mountain springs.The village is famous for 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, has wonderful wall murals and also several ancient statues. The monastery holds religious dance on 28th and 29th day of 10th Buddhist month (December). . On arrival at Lachung check in at hotel, overnight halt.
DAY 02: Lachung – Yumthang – Gangtok
After early breakfast drive up for Yumthang valley (11,800 ft. /24 km / 2 hours) excursion tour. The rhododendrons bloom between March to May. Visit the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which spans across 34 square kilometers area here near Lachung and has over 38 different varieties of rhododendrons. You can see some great species such as arboretum, grande, nivale, the state flower etc. State Forest Department holds International Rhodendron Festival here annually between March to May during the peak flowering season. Yumthang, where the tree line ends and the rhododendron groves cover the landscape in a surreal shade. Yumthang also called the valley of flowers as in spring wild alpine flowers carpet the land. Yumthang is also known for its hot spring, which have healing medicinal properties. return to Lachung and Departure for Lachenn (9,500 ft/135 km/6 hours).On arrival check in at hotel, overnight halt.
DAY 03: Lachen – Gurudongmar lake – Gangtok
Today you drive for an unforgettable excursion tour to Gurudongmar Lake (17,200 ft.)-a sacred lake, the waters are believed to possess the miraculous powers of granting issues to barren couples. The lake freezes during the winter except at one spot believed to be specially blessed by Guru Rimpoche. Back to lachen and drive down to Gangtok..

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation before 30 days of start date will be charged processing fee equivalent to INR 3000 per person;
Cancellations between 20 days to 30 days before start date, 35% of tour cost would be charged as retention;
Cancellations between 20 days to 15 days before start date, 50% of tour cost would be charged as retention;
Cancellations made within 15 days of start date, entire tour cost shall be charged as retention;
Bank transaction charges apply on credit card/net banking refunds;
